All types of batteries, including alkaline batteries, button batteries, and rechargeable batteries.
No charge
Place batteries in a clear plastic bag OR place clear tape on both the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of batteries to prevent fires.
Do NOT put them in other recycling drop-off containers. Bulging or damaged lithium ion batteries should be brought to a Hennepin County Drop-Off Facility. Place damaged lithium ion batteries individually in a clear plastic bag.
No automobile electric vehicle (EV) batteries. Contact your vehicle's manufacturer or a dealership for disposal options
