Apprenticeships

More than 100 employers participate in the Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative to offer paid on-the-job training with related technical instruction in 29 high-growth occupations spanning five industries: advanced manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, information technology and transportation.

Community service

  • MNhelp – get information on community services that individuals and communities need to sustain and improve their daily lives such as health care and childcare, job training, education and recreation, retirement, disability and social service information. This directory contains information on nonprofit, public health and human service programs, as well as some for-profit programs such as housing.
  • Broader Needs Assessment (BNA) – to obtain the most updated resource information, call the county resource helpline at 612-348-3000.

Veterans

  • Current or former military members, no matter the era of service, receive priority services in all CareerForce locations across the state.
  • Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, a proud partner of the American Job Center NetworkThe Veteran and Military Transition Center helps veterans injured or disabled as a result of their military service find programs and resources, locate assistance, access benefits and find or keep a job.
