Apply with us for your auctioneer's license. 

Qualifications

An applicant must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• A Minnesota resident must have resided in Hennepin County for the past 6 months

Minnesota residents

Apply at least 2 weeks prior to the auction.

Non-residents

Apply at least 3 weeks prior to the auction.

Application process

1. Complete the auctioneer license application (PDF, 1MB).
2. If you're not a Minnesota resident you must also complete the irrevocable consent for non-resident auctioneer (PDF, 1MB) and provide certified copies of your:
   • Auctioneer's license issued by your state of residence
   • Resident state's auction laws
3. Print but don't sign the application.
4. Get your signature notarized. E-notarization ok.
5. Get your $1,000 surety bond.
6. Mail your application, documents and check or money order to:
