If we issued the original marriage license, you can:

We need the correct marriage date and applicant names. If you don’t have the marriage date and names, we can search our records for you.

Processing is how long it takes us to get your order ready.
Mailing time depends on the postal service.
We’ll have your order ready for mailing or pick up within 3 weeks of receipt.

If your marriage certificate was filed with us, we can correct information.
Each applicant can request a correction for their own information only.
Your marriage officiant must request date or place corrections. Both applicants must also approve this change.
Legal name changes are done through district court.
If a marriage record has already been corrected, any changes afterwards would be done through district court.
$40 - The fee is for the review of your documents and is non-refundable.
We process orders within 2 weeks of receipt.
We will process the information and mail you a corrected paper record.
