Health in Hennepin County means preventing illness, providing care, and being prepared to protect our community.
We take a comprehensive approach to health by integrating services from mental health support and preventive care to community resources. We work in neighborhoods every day to protect your health and well-being. We also make sure every resident can access essential services and care, regardless of socioeconomic status.
Prevention

We offer a county-owned health plan for Hennepin County residents eligible for Minnesota Healthcare Programs, so insurance isn’t a barrier to care. Hennepin Health is a health plan that can help you get the care and services you need to improve your health.
